Here is a list of the other activities for the weekend. The Sig Taus have made some changes in their schedule of events:
Sigma Tau Psi Night Uptown*
Wet Tee Shirt Contest with Prizes
Friday 4/23 at 9 pm
The Java House located across the IB
Proceeds donated to the American Cancer Society to benefit breast cancer research
*Some of us will be arriving Friday night to attend the above activity. If you plan to come in that night let Chuck know. Perhaps early arrivers can have dinner together before attending this event. We can meet in the Days Inn lobby at 6:45 pm. If we know a number ahead of time we can make reservations at the new Villa on the Green Restaurant for 7:00 pm before the Sig Tau Party. The Phi Lambs won't be joining us at this party as stated earlier. They are apparently having a separate party at their house to celebrate their 40th anniversary.

Days Inn at Geneseo may still have space. The number is 585-243-0500. The Country Inn and Suites at Mt. Morris has very nice rooms and is about a 12 minute drive away. The number is 402-501-6199. OR If anyone needs to stay overnight Dave Mead is offering his place in Mt. Morris. He says it's not fancy but there's plenty of beer, not to mention the Pepto Bismo, Tylenol and Metamucil.
NEW SIG TAU WEBSITE: For those of you who would like to see how well some of us bros have aged check out the Sig Tau Website www.geneseo.edu/~sigtau/ for pictures of us "young folk" at the Homecoming 2003 "Forty Years of Pride." You can find them in the History and Alumni (alumni picture gallery) pages.

Jack Sheehan '66 will be undergoing treatment for prostrate cancer in May. It was detected early and is curable. Type of treatment is yet to be determined. Jack still plans to attend Alumni Weekend provided his daughter delivers his second grandchild before the event. He says she sure better because "she's bigger than a house." Jack and his wife Kathe (Reynolds) '67 own and operate a costume company in Schenectady NY that rents and sells costumes all over the United States. See their company website at www.thecostumer.com. Their son Johnnie works at the State Capitol in Albany. They are close friends of Bruce Jordan '66 who also lives nearby in Schenectady.

We still would like to see more bios and updates submitted for future newsletter issues. It is our intent to publish the newsletter at least three times a year. Send your bios and updates to Chuck at ccuratal@rochester.rr.com.
The Alumni Office could not find addresses for Jack Piedmonte, and Jim Goldseth, Greg Sutherland, Ron Leffler and Bob Meyers. If anyone knows their whereabouts let Chuck know.

Special thanks to Sean Coughlin, Sig Tau's Webmaster for designing the above banner and other Sig Tau clip art for the newsletter. He is also doing a superb job in revamping their website.
|
Don't forget to let us know if you're interested in having dinner at Villa on the Green on Friday since reservations are recommended. And please remember to send your DONATION to the Sig Taus via mail or website, and to submit those bios and updates to Chuck.
Stay tuned for final details for Alumni Weekend to be published in the next Sig Tau Old Guard Newsletter on Wednesday, April 21. Hope to see you all "happy, go-lucky, bare-assed and free" in Geneseo!
