Fellow Old Farts…Oops… Old Guards!
Our membership list continues to grow. See the updated directory at the end of this newsletter for the new members. There are still members whose addresses are known but have not responded to mailed newsletters and requests for email addresses.
Chuck Curatalo requests that you encourage these members by giving someone a call from the Inactive Old Guard Member List since we will probably not be mailing newsletters to these members in the future. He needs your help in this matter if our membership is to continue to grow and for the “good times” to get bigger and better! |

Fall Alumni Weekend ’04 is just around the corner! The current Sig Taus are breaking their fannies and budget to make this weekend the best ever. The date is Saturday, October 2, 2004 which is also Homecoming Weekend. Our main event will again be:
|
Coctail Hour at the Big Tree at 5:00 PM on Saturday October 2nd followed by Dinner at 7:30 PM
Wives and friends are welcome. The Big Tree needs to know the approximate number. Since Homecoming is a busy day for them we may have to sign a contract. We can still cancel five days prior to the event. Also, there will be a $50 charge for a private room if we choose to have one. If so we will ask each participant to pitch in an extra dollar or two. |
Since Days Inn at Geneseo always sells out for Homecoming, it would be wise to reserve a room NOW. So make a reservation on the Days Inn website or call directly at 1-585-243-0500. The Country Inn and Suites at Mt. Morris is a 12 minute drive away (1-402-501-6199). Other lodgings can be found at http://www.geneseony.com/lodgings.htm.

Sig Tau Website:
The Sig Tau website at www.geneseo.edu/~SIGTAU/brothers.html have added several new features to their website. There is a Sig Tau Eternal Page which lists brothers who have passed away. They have added the names of Dahn Walrath, Louie Pettica, Bill Brigham, Larry Allen, Don Fuller, Don Peterson and Duane Rubadeau. There is also an alumni database which you can view if you have Excel on your computer.
Sig Tau Roundtable
The Sig Taus will be holding a discussion group called the Sig Tau Round Table on Sunday, August 15th in Rochester NY at noon. The group will be going over the Sig Tau house fund, reviewing current traditions to ensure continuality, going over copyright issues, deciding what to do with the money started by Brian Castelli’s Class of ’97, and legitimizing the donation process aiming for tax deductible donations possibly using the Geneseo Foundation. This group will ultimately decide these major issues and provide alumni representation. They are searching for a lawyer who would like to attend as well as representation from the formative years and some of the founding brothers and others from the 70’s and 80’s.

Unfortunately there were no submissions for this newsletter. Let’s do better next time.
The next newsletter will be issued in late October. In the meantime stay tuned for Special Bulletins regarding Homecoming ’04 and a list of Old Guards who will be attending. Hope to see you “happy-go-lucky bare-assed and free” at Fall Alumni Weekend ’04!
